Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Lexigo.net (“we,” “our,” or “the site”) is a puzzle reference website that publishes daily Lexigo clues, answers, and word-game guides. We built it to be read, not to harvest data: you do not need an account, we do not ask for your name, and the site works fully without you telling us anything about yourself. This policy explains the small amount of information that is processed when you visit, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you provide. The only place you can actively give us information is the contact form on our support page. If you use it, we receive what you type — typically a name or alias, an email address so we can reply, and your message. We use it solely to respond to you.
Information collected automatically. Like virtually every website, our servers and content-delivery infrastructure keep standard technical logs: the pages requested, the date and time, your browser type, and your IP address. These logs exist to keep the site fast, stable, and secure — for example, to diagnose outages and block abusive traffic.
Analytics. We measure traffic with a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool. It counts visits and page views in aggregate — which pages are popular, which countries visitors come from, which sites referred them. It does not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share analytics data with data brokers.
Cookies and local storage
Lexigo.net does not require cookies to function, and we do not run advertising cookies. Your browser’s local storage may be used for small quality-of-life preferences (for example, remembering interface states on puzzle pages). This data stays in your browser; you can clear it at any time through your browser settings and the site will simply return to its defaults.
Third-party services
A few pieces of the site are delivered by third parties, which means your browser contacts their servers when a page loads:
- Content delivery networks serve our images, styles, and scripts so pages load quickly worldwide.
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface used across the site.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site for security and performance.
Each of these providers may log basic technical data (such as IP addresses) under their own privacy policies. Social sharing buttons on our pages are plain links — nothing is sent to X, Facebook, or your email provider unless you click them.
How we use information
We use the limited data described above to operate and secure the site, understand which puzzles and guides people find useful, fix bugs, and answer messages sent through the support form. We do not sell personal information, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not send marketing email.
Data retention
Server and security logs are kept only as long as they are useful for operations and are then rotated out. Support messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your query. Aggregate analytics contain no directly identifying information and may be kept indefinitely as statistics.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold almost nothing, such requests are usually simple: contact us through the support page and we will respond promptly.
Children’s privacy
Lexigo.net is a general-audience puzzle site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, let us know and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for example, if we ever add advertising — we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
